Director Mr. Martin Hanley

Martin Hanley became the director of Lewis & Clark in 2023 after spending 10 years as the director of Pike-Lincoln Technical Center (PLTC) in Eolia, MO. Prior to his time at PLTC, Mr. Hanley started his education career as the Computer Information Systems instructor at Lewis  & Clark. Mr. Hanley spent 8 years in that role. During that time, he was also a SkillsUSA adviser. Mr. Hanley has his bachelor's in MIS from Maryville University, an MsE in Educational Leadership from ASU, and an EdS in Career and Adult Education from UCM.

Mr. Hanley is involved with MO-ACTE, ACTE, and NCLA. 

Mr. Hanley is married with 3 children, 7 grandchildren, a dog and 3 "grand-dogs", and numerous outdoor cats.  In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, woodworking, and working around the house.

Assistant Director Dr. Steven Smith

Dr. Smith joined Lewis & Clark as the assistant director just prior to the start of the 2016-17 year.  A proud graduate of Mizzou, Dr. Smith joined the teaching ranks of St. Charles West High School in 2007.  He spent eight years as a social studies teacher followed by a year as a full-time administrative intern.  Dr. Smith has earned master’s degrees in education and educational administration, as well as having completed his doctorate in educational administration.

Dr. Smith is married and has two boys.  Most of his spare time is spent with them on their various activities.
